Interior design project
After twenty-plus years in their family home, these empty nesters were open to ideas and ready for change. The home was spacious and had good circulation, but felt a bit disjointed with its varied flooring materials. To unify these spaces, the carpet and tile was removed and replaced with wood. The two-story entry and adjoining living and dining rooms were painted a creamy white. A play of color and pattern on the new furnishings adds personality to the living room. A collection of heirloom family photos and convex mirrors is displayed in the open stairwell.
